The oven nightmare not withstanding there was still much excitement to be had in planning Thanksgiving. Planning the invitations the menus and the table settings are my favorite things to do.
I planned the invitations in shades of brown and beige to match the feather balls and other feathers I've collected and as exquisitely beautiful as I thought they all were I realized on Wed morning that I had made a mistake and should have done the invitations in shades of green-to match my dishes. The feather's turned out to be really neutral. But I made it work, using all the greens and golds of fall.
Again, overall I had a fantastic time and I am now done with Thanksgiving 09.
